In a shocking case, a newlywed woman has approached the Muradnagar Police, accusing her husband of harassing her by forcing her to maintain a body like Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi.

The woman, who married Shivam Ujjwal, a government physical education teacher from Meerut, on March 6, 2025, alleged that her husband compelled her to exercise for three hours daily, denying her food if she failed to do so. Despite being of “normal height and fair complexion,” she claimed Ujjwal constantly taunted her appearance and compared her unfavorably to actresses, saying his life was “ruined” by marrying her.

The complaint further alleged that her husband frequently watched objectionable content online and showed interest in other women. Disturbingly, when she became pregnant, she claimed she was secretly administered abortion pills.

The woman also accused her in-laws of dowry harassment, alleging they mentally and physically tortured her when demands were unmet. At the wedding, her family reportedly spent ₹76 lakh, including jewelry worth ₹16 lakh, a Mahindra Scorpio worth ₹24 lakh, and ₹10 lakh in cash.

Police have now registered a case against Ujjwal, his parents, and sister under charges of dowry harassment, physical and mental cruelty, and forced abortion. Investigations are underway.

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling it an extreme example of body-shaming and dowry-linked abuse.
