Gujarat: In a shocking incident highlighting extreme violence over a trivial dispute, a 41-year-old man was allegedly murdered in Bhadarwa village of Gujarat’s Narmada district after refusing to give ₹10.
The victim, Rajeshbhai Dhanjibhai Tadvi, who reportedly suffered from physical disabilities including partial paralysis, was returning home with groceries on Friday morning when he was confronted by the accused, 33-year-old Dharmendrabhai alias Dhamo Ganpatbhai Tadvi.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Dharmendra allegedly demanded ₹10 from Rajeshbhai for personal expenses. When the victim refused, the argument escalated into a violent assault.
Eyewitnesses stated that the accused pinned Rajeshbhai to the ground on an RCC road near the village entrance. He then allegedly kicked him repeatedly in the chest and neck before placing his foot on the victim’s throat, strangling him.
Rajeshbhai sustained severe injuries, including visible bruises on his shoulders and neck, and died on the spot.
Police action and investigation
Following the incident, the village sarpanch alerted local authorities. Police teams reached the scene and found the victim’s body covered with a shroud.
The case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the accused has been booked for murder.
