Ahmedabad: Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convenor Hardik Patel has said he was offered Rs.1,200 crore and a big designation in BJP’s national youth wing to withdraw his quota stir.

In a letter to his father Bharat Patel from Lajpore jail in Surat, copies of which were released to media persons on Friday evening, Hardik said two people claiming to be from the Gujarat government have been visiting him in jail for the past three-four days.

One of them is a senior IAS officer responsible for police action against the Patidars who are agitating for the last eight months demanding reservation for Patels in jobs and educational institutions under the other backward class category.

However, he said, the agitation will continue. Patel also asked his father not to worry about him.

Hardik Patel, 23, in his two letters to Chief Minister Anandiben Patel had ruled out withdrawal of the agitation.
