After falling into a bucket of hot water in Gurugram, a 2.5-year-old boy in the city died from burns, according to police on Friday.
The toddler passed away on Thursday afternoon while receiving treatment at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, according to police. The incident occurred on Monday in the Sohna area’s Damdama Dhani village.
According to the police, the incident happened on Monday when the toddler’s mother briefly left him unattended on their home’s terrace with a bucket of hot water. Inspector Surender Kumar, the Sohna city SHO, stated that when she returned a short while later, she discovered that her son had fallen into the bucket.
The toddler suffered severe burn injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to the Safdarjung hospital, police said.
“We have taken action under CrPC section 174 based on the statement of a relative of the dead child,” Mr Kumar said.
