A heartwarming and humorous moment from Delhi University’s Aurobindo College has taken over the internet, clocking over 3 million views. The video, shared by Ashish Sharma, a second-year BA student and rising content creator, captures a spontaneous and unforgettable interaction with Hindi assistant professor Bhaskar Mishra.
Ashish casually approached Professor Mishra with a lighthearted comment on modern love troubles. Without skipping a beat, Mishra replied with a cheeky sher:
“Baat breakup ke iss zamaane mein, gham ki bedi kahan jakarti hai, ladka baby naya pakadta hai, ladki babu naya pakadti hai.”
The poetic zinger quickly became an internet favorite, earning the professor a fanbase of his own.
Since the clip went viral, Mishra has become a campus celebrity, fondly dubbed the ‘Shayar of South Campus.’ “Even my wife joked that I’ve turned into a star,” said Mishra, laughing. “But truly, I was just being open with a student.”
Ashish, meanwhile, has gained 50,000 new followers in a day, and is planning more videos with the beloved professor. “There was no script. That’s what made it so real,” Ashish shared.
Social media lit up with praise, one student commenting, “Mujhe bhi aise professors chahiye!” while another wrote, “Love guru Mishra sir is the vibe!”
This heartening encounter has not only sparked laughter but also highlighted the warmth that genuine student-teacher bonds can bring.
