New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP and veteran Cogress leader Digvijaya Singh said that the Congress party has only revived after the exit of Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Speaking about the exit of Scindia from the Congress and subsequntly embracing the BJP, Singh said that when the former quit the Congress, many had opined that the Congress will finish in Gwalior-Chambal division.
“I say that Congress has revived after he left”, he said adding that he left the party which gave him everything.
“I had never expected him to go away because the party gave him everything. He was one of the closest to Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka and Rahul. He was the member of the working committee,” Singh said.
Singh’s comments came in after the ruling BJP claimed that over 35,843 Congress cadres joined the ruling party in the two days in Gwalior.
The BJP’s membership drive began in Gwalior on Saturday.
