Hyderabad: In a shocking and gruesome incident, a 45-year-old man from Hyderabad, Guru Murthy, has allegedly confessed to killing his wife, Venkata Madhavi, 35, before dismembering her body and boiling the parts in a pressure cooker. The horrifying crime came to light after Madhavi was reported missing by her family on January 16.
Guru Murthy, a former soldier and currently employed as a security guard with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), reportedly confessed to the police after his wife’s family grew suspicious of him. During questioning, Murthy allegedly described in chilling detail how he chopped up her body in the bathroom and proceeded to boil the parts in a pressure cooker. He claimed to have repeated the process for three days, separating the bones and grinding them before discarding the remains in a lake.
Police Inspector Nagaraju confirmed that Murthy’s confession is under investigation. While the details are being corroborated, the police are working to verify his claims.
The couple had two children, a son and a daughter, and reportedly had frequent arguments. The motive behind the alleged murder remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
