In a heartbreaking case, Hyderabad police have arrested a 19-year-old man for the abduction and murder of a five-year-old boy in Uppal.
According to officials, the child went missing on August 12. His father lodged a complaint the same afternoon, prompting an immediate search operation. Police teams reviewed CCTV footage from the locality, which showed the boy being led away by an individual. This evidence helped investigators identify the suspect, later confirmed as Shams Qamar, a native of Bihar working at the same timber depot as the victim’s father.
On Friday evening, police apprehended Qamar. During questioning, he confessed to the crime, officers said. The boy’s body was found in nearby bushes, and a case of abduction and murder was registered against the accused.
Authorities stated that further investigation is underway and assured the community that the case will be pursued on priority. The shocking incident has caused widespread grief and anger among residents, who have called for swift justice.
