Mumbai: Pallavi Vikamsey, 21-year-old law student and daughter of ICAI president, was found dead here on Wednesday on the suburban railway tracks.

Sources say that she had gone missing earlier that same day. Her body was found between the Parel and Currey Road stations.

Her belongings, including her phone, were missing from the scene. The police are tracking her phone as they believe that it was stolen.

Unable to contact Pallavi, her family contacted her office and found out that she had left at 5 pm. A missing persons complaint was lodged with the police at around 10.30 pm.

The Government Railway Police had found her body at around 6.30 pm on Wednesday. They were able to identify after sending her photo to various railway as well as police stations.

So far, foul play is not suspected and an accidental death case has been registered.
