Aligarh: Countering poet Munawwar Rana’a daughter, Sumaiya Rana’s who said that it was ‘suffocating’ to stay in India, Aligarh BJP MP Satish Gautam said that if she feels so, she is free to go to Pakistan.
Addressing the media on Monday, February 10, he said, “If Sumaiya feels that staying in India makes her feel suffocated, then there are many ways for her to go to Pakistan. She’s free to go. This is happening because, in this country, every individual has the freedom to speak.”
It can be recalled that, recently, Sumaiya, while addressing the gathering in one of the anti-CAA protests in Aligarh, had said that the country was currently ‘vitriolic’ and that it was ‘suffocating’ to live in the country.
