New Delhi: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) a cyclonic circulation has been formed over the southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep area.
In a bulletin released on Sunday, June 9, the IMD has predicted that the low pressure is expected to move towards north-northwestwards, which would intensify further and then would form into a cyclonic storm.
In its statement, it has said, “Associated cyclonic circulation has extended up to mid-tropospheric levels and it is very likely to concentrate into a depression during next 48 hours over the southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea.”
The IMD has predicted that in the next 24 hours there was a favourable condition for the advancement of southwest monsoon in several parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep, South Arabian Sea, Tamil Nadu and central Arabia Sea.
