Georgia: In a tragic incident, 25-year-old Indian student Vivek Saini, pursuing an MBA in Lithonia, Georgia, was brutally killed by a homeless man whom he had previously assisted. Saini, working part-time as a clerk at a convenience store, had shown kindness to Julian Faulkner, a homeless individual struggling with drug addiction. Saini had provided Faulkner with free chips, water, and even a jacket for warmth. However, on January 16, when Saini refused to provide Faulkner with free food, the situation escalated, resulting in a fatal attack.

CCTV footage captured the horrific incident as Faulkner attacked Saini with a hammer while he was leaving for home. The assailant mercilessly struck Saini nearly 50 times on the head and face, even after he fell lifeless to the ground. Police arrived at the scene to find Faulkner over Saini’s lifeless body. The tragic incident occurred just 10 days before Saini was scheduled to fly to India for a leave. Vivek Saini, a resident of Bhagwanpur village in Panchkula, Haryana, has left behind a grieving family and community.
