India’s spinners, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, showcased exceptional bowling performances on Day 2 of the second Test against the West Indies, leaving the visitors at 140/4 at stumps. India declared their first innings at a formidable 518/5, with Shubman Gill scoring a century.


India’s Dominant First Innings

After winning the toss and opting to bat, India amassed 518/5 before declaring. Shubman Gill led the charge with a commanding century, while Nitish Reddy (43) and Dhruv Jurel (44) made significant contributions. However, a mix-up between Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal led to Jaiswal’s unfortunate run-out at 175, narrowly missing a third double century in Tests.


Jadeja and Kuldeep’s Spin Mastery

In response, the West Indies faced a challenging task against India’s spinners. Ravindra Jadeja was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 37 runs in 14 overs. Kuldeep Yadav also made vital breakthroughs, dismissing Alick Athanaze for 41.
