Indore college student dies by suicide; police probe mental health concerns

Indore: A third-year BSc student allegedly ended his life by jumping from the third floor of his college in Dwarkapuri, Indore, on Saturday. Police suspect he was struggling with mental health issues based on his social media posts.

Additional DCP Zone 4, Anand Yadav, identified the student as Mayur Rajput, aged 19-20. “He had posted a status saying he failed as both a student and a son. We are investigating further and will speak with his family to understand the circumstances,” Yadav stated.

Authorities are continuing their inquiry to determine the exact cause behind the tragic incident.
