Bulandshahr: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, Devendra Singh Lodhi, has created controversy by saying that police inspector Subodh Kumar shot himself when the mob got too aggressive during Bulandshahr violence.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Devendra Singh said, “While trying to save himself, the cop became helpless and fired at himself in haste. He was not targeted by anyone; it was a mob that got aggressive as the police were not filing an FIR.”
Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and a 20-year-old civilian, Sumit Kumar were shot dead during mob violence that broke out at Chingrawathi in Bulandshahr on December 3, after cow carcasses were found scattered in a field near the village.
