Srinagar: Today, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, an ongoing confrontation between security forces and unidentified individuals resulted in the death of two individuals labeled as terrorists, with two members of the army sustaining injuries, as per official reports.
The engagement initially ignited on Thursday at Check Mohalla Nowpora in the Sopore locality of northern Kashmir. Following a period of calm overnight, a renewed bout of gunfire erupted on Friday morning, according to the same sources.
According to official statements, two individuals identified as terrorists have been confirmed deceased thus far.
The injured army personnel have been transported to a medical facility for treatment, the officials further stated.
A civilian was reported to have sustained injuries in the vicinity of the altercation on Thursday.
The ongoing operation to eliminate the individuals labeled as terrorists from the area remains in progress, according to the authorities.
