Jammu: Engineer Rashid, an independent MLA from Jammu and Kashmir, was attacked with ink and oil by three men at Press Club of India premises on Monday afternoon.

The attack was in protest of a beef party he hosted recently. Soon after the incident, Hindu Sena claimed responsibility for the attack. This is the second assault on the MLA this month. On October 7, he was beaten up by Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly over the same beef party.

Reacting to the attack, the MLA said, “The world will see what India has turned into. They say Pakistan has been taken over by Taliban, but look what’s happening here.”
