New Delhi: A newly recruited sub-inspector with the Delhi police hailing from Karnataka committed suicide allegedly due to depression. A death note recovered from the dead body of the deceased speaks of him having been fighting depression over the last several years. However, his family members have alleged that the young man was being bullied by his senior officials due to which he ended life. His body was found on railway track at Srinivaspuri in South-East Delhi on Tuesday morning. The deceased is 28-year-old Thippeswamy from Kenchaginal village, Chennagiri taluk in Davangere district.

Thippeswamy, an engineering graduate with an MBA degree, was recruited as an SI three-months-ago and was undergoing training.

Thippeswamy may have flung himself before a running train on Monday night or on Tuesday morning. A suicide note too has been recovered from his pocket, which states that he was battling depression for a very long time and hence he was ending life. He also seeks forgiveness for his selfish act.

According to the police, he had taken permission from the Police Training Institute to visit a dentist on Monday evening.

However, on the other hand, his family members have refuted the depression angel to the case and have insisted that the young trainee was bullied by his senior officials over his language. But, Joint Commissioner of Police Dependra Pathak has billed off the allegations as baseless and said that his death note gives a clear picture.
