Officials anticipate the route to be operational within the next 4-5 months, following a crucial two-day inspection by the Commissioner of Railways Safety (CRS) scheduled for later this month. This development signifies a major milestone in the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, a vital infrastructure initiative spanning 272 kilometers. With 209 kilometers already commissioned in phases, the Sangaldan-Reasi section brings the project closer to completion.
