New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal constituency, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur’s statement over the death of the former chief of Anti-Terrorist Squad Late Hemant Karkare has been strongly condemned by Lt. Gen. Deependra Singh Hooda, here on Sunday, April 21.
General Hooda has said that such comment on a brave officer’s martyrdom was disrespect to the security forces.
Speaking on the occasion of the official release of his report on the national security for the Congress, he said that be it army or police, equal respect was expected to their martyrdom and statements made by Pragya Singh was not justifiable.
Earlier, Pragya Singh had said that the death of Hemant Karkare in the 26/11 terrorist attack was due to her curse. As it invited massive criticism, she later apologized for it.
