Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): After the tragic explosion at the Harda firecracker factory, claiming 11 lives and leaving over 200 injured, Congress MLA R.K. Dogne from Harda made a striking statement at the legislative assembly on Thursday. Wearing a symbolic string of firecrackers, he demanded the establishment of a comprehensive investigative team involving both legislators and journalists to probe the incident.
Arriving at the legislative assembly adorned with the firecracker string, MLA R.K. Dogne positioned himself before Mahatma Gandhi’s statue to voice his protest. He stressed the urgency of opening the warehouse for inspection, noting the presence of a significant number of people at the scene and the abrupt halt in investigations following the Chief Minister’s departure.

Despite the potential presence of numerous individuals at the warehouse, rescue operations were abruptly halted.
In contrast, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma criticized MLA Dogne’s choice of attire, deeming it inappropriate for a public representative to wear what he described as a “bomb garland.”
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath condemned the government’s handling of the situation, highlighting negligence across various fronts. He called the explosion at the Harda firecracker factory a profound tragedy and urged for the prosecution of all responsible parties.
