Guna: An official reported that a 25-year-old man from the nomadic Pardi community passed away after sustaining gunshot wounds while resisting an alleged kidnapping attempt on his sister in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district.

The incident occurred in the Dharnavada locality, approximately 40 kilometers away from the district’s central office, according to local authorities.

Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh, who oversees the Dharnavada police station, stated that Dharampal Pardi was shot in the foot when he opposed an alleged effort to abduct his sister.

Dharampal, severely injured and bleeding profusely, was promptly transported to a nearby hospital. However, due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to a medical facility in Bhopal for advanced treatment. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries en route to the state capital.

Authorities have initiated a murder investigation against seven to eight suspects, and they are actively pursuing their apprehension. The official noted that the motive behind the crime appears to stem from longstanding animosity.
