Vikhroli: In a tragic incident reported from Vikhroli, Maharashtra, a man was fatally beaten by three individuals after he stopped playing music on his mobile phone connected to an electric scooter. The victim, identified as Ashwajit Gaikwad, aged 31 and a resident of Vikhroli, was enjoying music with his friends near Powai Lake on Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR).

As they were sitting by the lake, Ashwajit’s mobile phone, connected to the scooter, received a call, prompting him to disconnect it temporarily. This action angered the three men present, who demanded that he reconnect the phone to play music. However, Ashwajit explained that he couldn’t continue playing due to the scooter’s low battery.

In response, the men became enraged, leading to a heated argument and eventually a violent altercation. The trio mercilessly attacked Ashwajit, resulting in his death on the spot. The accused fled the scene following the assault.

The police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The police swung into action to nab the accused who are still at large.
