Satara (Maharashtra): Maharashtra’s Satara district was rocked by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake on Thursday, June 20 morning, according to a report by ANI.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the quake struck at around 7.47 AM with a depth of 10 km on Thursday, ANI reported.
There have been no casualties or damage to properties reported so far.
According to a report by Livemint, people in some parts of the district, rushed out of their homes when the tremors struck.
A second quake of 3 magnitude was recorded in the district at around 8.27 AM at a depth of 5 km according to the report.
A Pune-based seismologist requested the people not to panic as both the earthquakes were of low intensity.
