The individual described the distressing incident of finding his hostel room locked due to financial constraints, an experience that left him feeling profoundly embarrassed among his peers. He reminisced about a time when he had to scramble to gather funds for his sister’s medical college fees amidst his own financial scarcity.
Furthermore, he shared an incident where his confidence took a blow after failing a course in his first year and subsequently having to repeat it in his fifth year. Public criticism from a professor exacerbated his embarrassment, particularly as it occurred in front of a large group of first-year students.
The individual also highlighted the challenges posed by institutional rigidity, citing an instance where he faced academic repercussions due to a stringent rule. He recounted the difficulties of navigating academic tasks offline for six months and enduring constant scrutiny from professors due to his previous failure.
