Congress Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi found himself unexpectedly grounded in Maharashtra’s Latur city on Wednesday night due to the absence of night-landing facilities at the local airport. Gandhi, who had been on a campaign trail, had to alter his plans and spend the night in the city.
He had arrived in Latur from Amravati on Wednesday afternoon and later flew to Solapur for a rally. However, when he returned to Latur in the evening, he couldn’t depart for Delhi as scheduled due to flight restrictions.
Instead, Gandhi stayed overnight at the Grand Hotel in the city before departing for Delhi the next morning. During his stay, he engaged in discussions about the political landscape in Maharashtra with Congress MLA Amit Deshmukh.
