Mumbai: Malad Shekhar Poojary Brahmavara, owner of the Takur College Canteen located at Kandivali East, died due to cardiac arrest on June 7.
He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
The 58-year-old was the founding member of the Shri Varamahalakshmi Pooja Committee. He had been working as working vice president of the Billawas’ Association Malad.
He was a patron of Yakshagana also and engaged himself in various social services. As he was a patron of Yakshagana, he orchestrated a Yakshagana programme during the decennial celebration of the Varamahalakshmi Pooja Committee.
On the occasion of his silver jubilee wedding anniversary, he had disbursed grocery items to over 70 poor families of the Malad region recently.
The members of the Billawa Association Malad and Varamahalakshmi Pooja Committee have condoled his sudden demise.
