A young man’s reckless bid for social media fame landed him in police custody after a video of him dangerously riding a motorcycle while holding a gun-like object spread rapidly online.

Upon noticing the viral footage, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajai Singh instructed officials to take strict action against the offender. Authorities identified the individual as 21-year-old Shaurya, son of Vijay Dandiya, a resident of Nehru Colony, Dehradun.

Shaurya was detained for jeopardizing public safety by performing hazardous stunts in a crowded area. His motorcycle was confiscated under the Motor Vehicles Act, and legal proceedings were launched under the Police Act to address the offense.

The alarming sight of the firearm in the clip raised concerns, but investigations later revealed it to be a mere toy gun designed for children. Law enforcement recovered the replica weapon from Shaurya during questioning.

This case highlights the grave consequences of reckless behavior for online attention. Police have warned against such actions, emphasizing the legal risks and public endangerment caused by such irresponsible stunts.
