Ernakulam: A highly inconsiderate event took place in Ernakulam wherein a man forced his way into the ICU of a private hospital where Hanan Hamid, a student who was trolled earlier for selling fish to pay for her education was admitted after she met with an accident and live streamed the same on Facebook.
The man was identified as Rajesh Raman, who did so to create “viral content”, according to sources. He stood at Hanan’s bedside and asked her numerous questions and tried to get her to speak to him. This upset Hanan who could be seen trying to stop the man from shooting the video. This video which went viral was posted on a Facebook page for viral videos is being condemned for its inconsiderate behaviour.
The hospital staff on realising what was happening informed the police, who have reportedly started an investigation. So far no formal complaint has been lodged against Rajesh.
Hanan who had met with an accident after her car rammed into an electric pole at Kodungallur in Thrissur district of Kerala was immediately admitted in Moder Multi Specialty Hospital, she was later referred to a private hospital in Ernakulam for expert treatment.
In the meantime, Kerala government has conveyed that they would ensure that she would get good treatment. The government has also spoken to the hospital to provide with the best treatment and they would help in any way possible.
Prior to this Hanan was in the spotlight after she was seen selling fish in her uniform. A Malayalam paper had also published an article indicating her struggles to make ends meet. This story went viral, with people applauding the girl for her attitude to life. But on the other side of the coin, many social media users also trolled her saying that she was doing it for publicity.
She has also made the news for donating Rs 1.5 lakhs for flood relief in Kerala.
