A disturbing video has surfaced from the renowned Chintamani Ganesh Temple in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, showing a man threatening the temple priest’s son with a machete, demanding repayment of money. The man, identified as Mahesh Yadav, can be seen verbally abusing and attempting to attack the priest’s son and a devotee, Lokesh Soni, while brandishing the weapon.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon and was captured on video by the priest Jai Dubey, who later shared it on social media. In the clip, Yadav is heard issuing death threats and warning that he would carry out a serious assault if the money is not returned within 24 hours.
According to reports, Yadav had previously loaned money to the priest in connection with a case, but the amount was allegedly not repaid. In a fit of rage, he entered the temple premises and threatened the priest’s family, causing panic among devotees present.
The priest promptly lodged a complaint at Mandi police station, leading to Yadav’s arrest. Sehore CSP Abhinandana Sharma confirmed that a case has been filed under Sections 296, 351(2) of the Indian Justice Code and Section 25 of the Arms Act. Further investigation is underway.
