Rajkot, Gujarat: A major fire erupted at a gaming zone in Rajkot on Saturday evening, prompting concerns of potential casualties, according to police reports.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Gujarat’s Chief Minister directed authorities to initiate immediate relief efforts for the affected individuals.
“The Municipal Corporation and administration have been instructed to swiftly carry out rescue and relief operations following the fire incident at the gaming zone in Rajkot. Additionally, arrangements for prompt medical assistance to the injured are being prioritized,” stated Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargav confirmed the fire at the TRP gaming zone, indicating reports of casualties.
“The cause of the fire remains unknown and is subject to investigation. Rescue operations are currently underway, with multiple fire engines deployed. We will collaborate with fire brigade officials to determine the necessary course of action,” Commissioner Bhargav elaborated. The exact number of casualties, if any, will be determined post-fire suppression efforts and subsequent cooling operations.
