A fierce fire broke out at a paper godown near the Vaigai South Bank area in Madurai on Wednesday, resulting in heavy damage and the complete destruction of two vehicles parked inside the compound.

The blaze triggered a swift response, with over 20 firefighters rushing to the site. It took them nearly an hour of intense effort to contain the flames. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported.

Eyewitnesses and visuals from the scene show firefighters working alongside local residents to battle the inferno and stop it from spreading to adjacent buildings. Thick smoke and towering flames were seen engulfing the warehouse as emergency crews fought the fire.

Both vehicles inside the godown were reduced to charred remains. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine what sparked the fire, but the exact cause remains unknown at this point.
