In an unexpected turn of events during the ongoing UP Board exams, the high school mathematics question paper was accidentally posted in an official WhatsApp group in Etah on Saturday. The paper remained visible for 13 minutes before it was deleted.

The incident took place during the first shift of the mathematics exam, which started at 8:30 AM. At 9:37 AM, Anju Yadav, the centre administrator of Chaudhary BL Inter College, mistakenly shared a photo of the question paper in a WhatsApp group that included 125 officials, including the District Magistrate (DM), District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), and examination supervisors.

Static Magistrate Dr. Brijesh Kumar quickly noticed the leak and alerted the Jaithra police station. DIOS Dr. Indrajit Singh confirmed the incident and stated that an FIR had been lodged against the centre administrator. He clarified that the paper was unintentionally shared while the administrator was trying to upload an attendance sheet. Her phone was confiscated immediately, and a report was filed.

The examination was conducted across 92 centres in Etah, with 19,978 students registered. Following the mishap, the centre administrator was removed from her post, and Prashna Kumar from Government Inter College (GIC) was appointed in her place.

Authorities are investigating the case, and the seized mobile phone is being examined for further evidence. Officials have reassured strict measures to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
