Alappuzha: The body of a 37-year-old woman, who had been reported missing for the past two days, was found on Thursday morning in a stream at Beach Ward, Alappuzha.
The deceased has been identified as Maya Joseph, a resident of the locality. According to sources, Maya was known to be an epilepsy patient.
Her husband had lodged a missing person complaint two days ago after she went untraceable. Following a search operation, her body was found in the nearby stream, bringing a tragic end to the anxious wait.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of her death. A post-mortem will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause.
