New Delhi: Abhinandan Pathak, a doppelganger of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was earlier seen with the BJP has now decided to campaign for the Congress in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Previously, BJP had plans of encashing on his resemblance to Modi in the elections across the country.
Pathak met with UPCC President Raj Babbar and conveyed to him his desire to campaign for Congress. During this meeting, he was continuously mocked by the Congress workers about the PM’s promise of Rs 15 Lakh during the 2014 elections.
Pathak stated his reasons for doing so by saying that he was forced to take this step because of the unfulfilled promises of the BJP and that he had urged the UPCC chief to set up a meeting with Rahul Gandhi.
Previously, he had contested the Lok Sabha elections in 1999 and Vidhan Sabha elections in 2012.
