Indore: In a shocking incident of harassment reported from Indore, two bike-borne men tried to pull a lady’s skirt while she was driving a two-Wheeler in a busy street in front of a popular mall on April 22.
A model from Madhya pradesh alleged that two men on a motorbike chided her saying that they wanted to know “what was under her skirt” and tried to yank her skirt while she was riding her two-wheeler.
Narrating her ordeal, the model wrote on her blog that she also sustained injuries as she lost control of her vehicle and fell on the road when she tried to stop the them. She complained that nobody came to her aid.
In her blog post, she said that a onlooker who came for her help blamed her dressing sense for the incident. “An uncle who came to help me after my fall said, ‘it’s because you’re wearing a skirt!’ I’ve never been so offended”, she wrote.
However, there were no CCTV cameras in the area, which could have provided a valuable evidence.
The woman futher tweeted that she will file a complaint with the police. However, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Indore Police Hari narayan Chari Mishra said that they had not received any complaints and assured serious action against the culprits.
