In an effort to discourage young people from indulging in immoral activities, drugs, and lavish spending on New Year celebrations, Muslim organizations are providing more meaningful alternatives to help avoid the temptations of New Year parties.

On the night of December 31, various Muslim organizations are hosting special programs to engage youth in prayers and religious teachings, steering them away from the worldly distractions of New Year celebrations.

The Abul Fida Islamic Research Center in Shahalibanda is organizing a night-long event called ‘Shab Bedari & Tarbiyati Ijtema’ at Masjid S S Faizullah Hussaini in Shakarganj. The event will run from 10 pm to 7:30 am, with Islamic scholars giving sermons on religious topics. Participants can join in congregational prayers, including ‘Salatul Tasbeeh,’ ‘Salatul Tahajjud,’ ‘Fajr,’ and ‘Ishraq’ namaz.

The Al Madina Educational Society in Falaknuma is hosting a ‘Mehfil Durood’ at Ghazi Millat Colony from 8 pm to 1:30 am, providing an opportunity for youth to participate in prayer and reflection.

At Vazir Ali Mosque in Fateh Darwaza, a similar religious event will be held, and another program is planned by the Meher Organization at Charminar. Various other groups are organizing events across Mehdipatnam, Borabanda, Kandikalgate, Barkas, Falaknuma, and other parts of the city.

Concerned about the rising popularity of New Year parties, where Muslim youth often engage in haram activities, organizers hope these religious gatherings will guide them back to the right path. Religious leaders have urged community organizations to host these gatherings to spread the right message and help prevent youth from straying into harmful behaviors.
