In response to the horrifying rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, doctors and medical organizations across India are set to stage protests tomorrow.

In Dharwad, a rally will be organized by the Indian Medical Association, the Ayush Federation of India, and Shreya College on August 17. The demonstration will start at Kalabhavan and proceed to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

To show solidarity, all outpatient departments (OPDs) in local hospitals will be closed from 6 a.m. on August 17 to 6 a.m. on August 18. This action aims to draw attention to the need for greater safety measures and justice for the victim.
