A 22-year-old newly married woman, Aziya, was discovered hanging in her husband’s house in Alappuzha last night. Aziya, from Kayamkulam and wife of Muneer from Alappuzha Panakkal Purayidam, was found by her husband and family members upon their return home. Despite being rushed to Alappuzha General Hospital, she could not be saved.
Aziya, a dental technician, had been living in Muvattupuzha for work and visited her husband’s home weekly. The couple had been married for four months after a relationship. The police have classified the incident as an unnatural death and are investigating further.
A note found at the scene, expressing sorrow over her father’s recent death, has raised questions about whether it was written by Aziya. Her father passed away a month ago, and she had shared tributes to him on social media. The investigation will determine if the note is genuine and if there were any underlying issues contributing to her death.
