Bhopal: Taking a jibe at Sadhvi Pragya Singh, BJP candidate from Bhopal parliamentary seat, senior Congress leader and Congress candidate for Bhopal said that surgical strikes wouldn’t have been needed if Sadhvi had “cursed” Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.

Addressing an election rally in his constituency, Digvijaya Singh said that Sadhvi says that ATS chief Hemanth Karkare died because of her curse. “There would have been no need of surgical strikes if she had cursed Masood Azhar,” he said.

Pragya Thakur is an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case she was arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad on terror charges and Hemant Karkare headed the ATS at that time. Singh, further talking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked why the Pulwama, Uri and Pathankot perpetrators were not brought to books when the PM claimed that terrorists would be gunned down under his regime even if they were hiding in hell.

Asking voters to be wary of those selling religion to them, Singh said that ‘these’ people ask Hindus to stay united at the face of threat, but they forget that this land was ruled by the Muslims for over 500 years and no religion faced threat under them.

“In our religion, we say ‘Har Har Mahadev’. But our religious sentiments were hurt by the BJP when they say ‘Har Har Modi’. We all know whose photo will appear on the screen if we type ”feku” (liar) on Google,” he added
