New Delhi: As Pakistan decided to suspend bilateral trade with India and also expelled the Indian envoy, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed his distress and views on it, here on Thursday, August 8.
Addressing the Indian Army veterans at a programme he said, “No nation should get a neighbour like that of ours.”
Rajnath recollected former prime minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s statements and said that even Vajpayee had said that no country had the privilege of changing its neighbours. Taking a jibe at Pakistan he said, “The problem is you can change your friend but you can’t change your neighbour as it is not in your hands. The main concern of us is the neighbouring nation and I pray that none gets a neighbour like the ones that we have.”
