Chennai: While voices are being raised demanding a probe into the death of J Jayalalithaa, a young man from Tamil Nadu claiming to be the only son of the leader has alleged that she was killed.

As per a report in India Today, Krishnamurthy, a resident of Erode, has registered a complaint in this connection with Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, Girija Vaidyanathan.

Krishnamurthy, who has been residing with his adopted parents, reportedly, friends of Jayalalithaa, has said that he had met the former chief minister at her Poes Garden residence on September 14, 2016, and stayed with her for four days.

He alleged that Sasikala pushed his mother down the stairs on the fateful night of September 22 after an argument broke between the two since Jayalalithaa wanted to introduce him as her son to the world.

Krishnamurthy so far maintained silence over the happening as he was afraid; however, he gathered courage later to reveal the truth.

He further stated that he was the rightful heir to Jayalalithaa’s properties being her only son.

Jayalalithaa died on December 5 after prolonged hospitalisation and a faction of party members have demanded a probe into the circumstances around her death.

Former Tamil Nadu Assembly speaker P H Pandian had alleged that Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on September 22, 2016, after the then Chief Minister was pushed down by someone at her Poes Garden residence.

After Jayalalithaa’s death triggered a virtual split in the AIADMK, the party members in the Lok Sabha are divided into two factions: one backing former chief minister O Panneerselvam and the other aligned with Chief Minister E Palaniswamy.
