Pak, Bangla Muslims should be thrown out ‘undoubtedly’: Shiv Sena

Mumbai: Although the Shiv Sena has allied with its ‘once-upon-a-time’ rivals, the Congress and National Congress Party (NCP), it has clarified that it never gave up on its ‘Hindutva’ ideology as it has ‘partially’ supported the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).

In its mouthpiece, the ‘Saamna’ on Saturday, January 25, the Sena said, “The party never gave up its Hindutva ideology and it is still working for the rights of the Maratha people. The party firmly believes that the Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslims, who are illegally residing in our country, should be thrown out, undoubtedly.”

Meanwhile, the Saamna also slammed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray for extending his support to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government and for standing in support of the CAA.

It said, “The party, which a month ago, was against the CAA, has all-of-a-sudden begun supporting it. There are some political parties which are using the Hindutva ideology only for political gains, while the Shiv Sena never did and never does that. If some parties are benefiting from doing such an act, we will accept them as we are large-hearted. That is the reason why the people of Maharashtra have chosen and accepted us.”

It can be recalled that, recently, Raj Thackeray had supported the CAA and even spoke about extending support to the BJP. Raj had said that the illegal immigrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh shall be shown their way, which is throwing them out of India.
