New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lamented that the people are still not taking the lockdown seriously.
With this the government, on Monday ordered states for the ‘stric enforcement of the lockdown’ and also asked for legal action against the violators.
“Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the directives seriously. I request the state governments to ensure that the rules and laws are followed,” the Prime Minister tweeted in Hindi, on Monday.
On Sunday, 80 districts, including Delhi Mumbai, Chennai, Kokata, Bengaluru and other places across the country were brought under complete shutdwn to curb the spread of Coronavirus, which has infected more than 400 people in the country.
Railways, metros and inter-state buses have been stopped and public transport has been banned in states including Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bengal and Haryana.
The response of the PM comes a day after millions of people stayed indoor on Sunday, respondng to is call for ‘Janata Curfew’.
