New Delhi: While Union Minister Ravishankar Prasad has already stated that revising the oil prices was in the hands of the central government, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has announced that the state government was planning to decrease the prices of petrol and diesel.
Addressing the reporters at Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday, September 8, Kumaraswamy said, ”The cess on petrol and diesel is less in Karnataka when compared to that of other states. However, there is a plan to slash the tax on both petrol and diesel in order to help the people. Before taking a final decision in this regard, a meeting will be conducted with the officials concerned,” he added.
