Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating Diwali with security personnel in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi joins the personnel in uniform at a security post annually to commemorate the Festival of Lights. Today, the Prime Minister posted pictures from his visit to his X account.

The photos show him dressed in military fatigues and interacting with security personnel.

“Away from their families, these guardians of our nation illuminate our lives with their dedication,” he added in another post.

He said the courage of our forces in unwavering. “Stationed in the toughest terrains, away from their loved ones, their sacrifice and dedication keep us safe and secure. India will always be grateful to these heroes who are the perfect embodiment of bravery and resilience,” he said.

The prime minister shared pictures of herself giving candy to guards.

Prime Minister Modi said he had spent every Diwali with border security officers while speaking to a group of soldiers in Lepcha. “You are at my festival,” he declared. “Even when I not a PM or a CM, I would visit soldiers at some or the other border post every Diwali,” he stated.
