New Delhi: The young generation of current times are so very fascinated by the Apple products, be it iPod, iPhone or Apple watches. Similarly, in our country some of the union ministers too, especially from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet too are fans of iPhones.
According to recent reports, union ministers like Amit Shah, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari and several others have become a part of Apple family, mainly in terms of social media usage.
iPhones are mainly used to handle their Twitter and other social media accounts, which according to them, are easy and faster to use.
Amit Shah
The current union home minister is using the Apple XS for official work on Facebook and Twitter. He connects with his officials on a professional basis. Currently, he has 14 million Twitter followers.
PM Modi too was seen using Apple iPhone 6 in the year 2018 when he was on a visit to Dubai and China. According to PMO, he uses only Apple devices for security reasons.
PM Modi has 110 million followers across all social media platforms, worldwide, making him the most followed global leader on social media in the world. His Twitter account alone has 48.2 million followers.
Nirmala Sitharaman
On the other hand, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman uses Twitter to connect with her officials and also promote the initiatives taken by PM Modi. She has 2.23 million followers on Twitter.
Nitin Gadkari
Faggan Singh Kulsate
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulsate use both Facebook as well as Twitter. While Gadkari uses both platforms on iPhone for official work and keep a track on developmental process with his team of officials on a daily basis, Kulsate uses both Android as well as iPhone in order to connect with public and his officials. He is said to be active on WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter.
Meanwhile, Gadkari has 5.15 million followers on Twitter.
Dharmendra Pradhan
Dharmendra Pradhan who has retained the post of union minister for petroleum and natural gas functions similar to Kulsate.
He uses both Android and iPhone apart from being active on WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook. He has 1.1 million followers on Twitter.
PM Modi’s idea and concept of ‘Digital India’ has led to India gaining momentum on mobile phone production, inturn making it world’s second largest mobile phone producer in the world in 2019.
In 2014, the country had only two mobile phone manufacturing units and currently it has around 268 units.
