New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given away all the mementos and gifts received by him when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat for auction and then allocated the proceedings of the auction for the welfare of the families of Municipal Corporation workers.
He has yet again planned to auction the gifts and mementos received by him as the Prime Minister of the country.
According to Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma, the amount collected will be allocated for a noble cause and many say that the proceedings may be utilised for the “Namami Gange” (rejuvenation of River Ganga) mission.
One of the English dailies has published that the physical auction may continue for two days and E-sale for three days.
Mahesh Sharma said that the process would begin in the next 10-15 days and that the website regarding the same would be live soon.
The plans are that most of the item be reserved for a price of Rs. 500.
