Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended warm wishes to the nation on the occasions of Onam, Milad-un-Nabi, and Teachers’ Day, highlighting the cultural, spiritual, and educational significance of each event.

Onam celebrations

Referring to Kerala’s rich traditions, PM Modi said that Onam reflects the timeless heritage and cultural pride of the state. In a social media post, he wrote:
“Wishing everyone a very happy Onam! May this beautiful festival bring renewed joy, good health and abundant prosperity to all.”

He described the festival as a symbol of unity, hope, and cultural pride, celebrating Kerala’s harvest season with feasts, boat races, dances, and floral arrangements known as Pookalam.

Milad-un-Nabi greetings

Marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Prime Minister conveyed his greetings on Milad-un-Nabi. He posted:
“Best wishes on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. May this sacred day bring with it peace and well-being in our society. May the values of compassion, service and justice always guide us. Eid Mubarak!”

Teachers’ Day tribute

On Teachers’ Day, PM Modi paid tribute to educators across the country, acknowledging their role in shaping young minds and building the nation’s future. He said:
“Wishing everyone, particularly all hardworking teachers, a very happy #TeachersDay! The dedication of teachers to nurturing minds is the foundation of a stronger and brighter future. Their commitment and compassion are noteworthy.”

He also remembered Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President, philosopher, and scholar, on his birth anniversary, recognizing his invaluable contributions to education in India.
