In a special address to the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the grand success of the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj, attributing its success to the collective efforts of the people of India. Expressing his gratitude, PM Modi remarked, “I bow to the crores of people of the country who contributed to the success of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.” He highlighted how the event, attended by millions, showcased India’s immense cultural and spiritual strength to the world.
PM Modi emphasized the role of collective participation and unity in the successful organization of the Mahakumbh, stating, “I stand here to speak on Prayagraj’s Mahakumbh. I congratulate crores of countrymen because of whom the Maha Kumbh could be organised successfully. Many people contributed to the success of the Mahakumbh… I thank the people of India, UP, and Prayagraj…”
Reflecting on the Ram Temple’s Pran Pratishtha last year, the Prime Minister pointed out how these monumental events symbolize the country’s long-term vision and its preparations for the future. “Last year, during the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple, all saw how the country was preparing itself for the next 1000 years. This thought was strengthened even more during the Mahakumbh. The country’s collective awakening increased the collective strength,” he added.
PM Modi also underscored the essence of the ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Together with all, development for all) mantra, which he had earlier emphasized from the Red Fort. “The entire world saw India’s grandeur in the form of Mahakumbh. We witness a national awakening in the Mahakumbh, which would inspire new achievements… This also gave a befitting reply to those who doubt our strength,” said PM Modi.
The address reflected India’s growing global stature and the deep sense of unity that the Mahakumbh event instilled in the nation. PM Modi’s words highlighted how India’s rich cultural traditions continue to inspire both national pride and international admiration.
